Host City Responsibilities

1. Work with Miss Florida to secure the fields for the tournament within your local municipality/ government agency. Mid Season minimum requirement based on 32 team brackets and Friday-Sunday schedule is 12 fields. Ensure that there is personal to line fields throughout the tournament. 

2. Secure hotel room blocks for the tournament and provide to the other leagues who are participating in the tournament.

   1. Responsible for hotel rooms for umpires traveling from outside of the area, work with UIC to get as many umpires as possible who are qualified to be behind the plate and in the field locally to reduce the cost of the hotel charges. Umpires will be 2 to a room so ensure they are double beds, total umpires are determined by quantity of fields and total tournament participants per age group once payments have been made for the tournament.

3. Miss Florida executive board is responsible for creating the brackets and game schedule with the UIC based on umpire availability 

4. League is responsible for providing game balls for the tournament should be USSSA sanctioned balls or equivalent quality.

5. League is responsible for providing score book pages for the official tournament records of scores. 

6. League should pre sell t-shirts or have t-shirt sales be at each complex, this is done completely by the league and all funds go to the league. 

7. League is responsible for coordinating concessions/ food trucks at their fields

   1. Provide meal vouchers for umpires during breaks and beverages for on and off the field while umpiring

8. League should set up any vendors at the fields at their discretion. 

9. League should have volunteers at each complex throughout the duration of the tournament. 

10. TROPHY REQUIREMENTS – ALL DIVISIONS

1ST Place Team – 24” Gold

1st Place individuals – 10” Gold- minimum 12 (recommend extras)

2nd Place Team – 24’’ Silver

2nd Place Individuals – 10” Silver

3rd Place Individuals -  Medallions

Exception is T-Ball depending on structure of the tournament and participants for the tournament

1. All checks are payable to Miss Florida and after the expenses incurred by Miss Florida, remaining balance will be distributed to the host league with detailed accounting of the expenses.
